I can't buy Diamonds!

In order to make a purchase you need to be connected to iTunes servers. Sometimes, depending on the time of day, the iTunes servers might be a bit overloaded – resulting in your in-game purchases being greyed out. Usually this resolves itself after a while.

In case you are having trouble purchasing in-game currency over a longer period of time, please double check that all your following settings are in order:

  1. Make sure that in-app purchases are enabled on your device under Settings > General > Restrictions.
  2. Close the game from the background and restart it.
  3. Check that you have the correct time/date settings on your device.
  4. Check that the payment method for your Apple ID is valid and that your credit card’s verification code (if any) has been entered.
  5. Use the same Apple ID to purchase diamonds as you used to download the game.

If nothing helps, we kindly need to ask you to contact iTunes Support, since all things related to purchasing run through Apple first.

While most of the transactions go smoothly, sometimes an answer from  Apple’s servers might be slower than usual or might result in errors. Please restart the App and wait some time to see if your Diamonds will arrive.
If your Diamonds do not arrive within 24 hours after you made the purchase, we recommend to contact iTunes Support. They can check what went wrong and hopefully fix this for you.

How can I disable or enable in-app purchases?

How can I disable or enable in-app purchases?

Supercell games are free to play, but you can buy in-game currency that will help you progress faster. This in-game currency is purchased with real money using the iTunes store.

To control the levels of security for each step of the purchasing process, go to your device’s Settings > General > Restrictions.

In the Restrictions menu, you’re able to enable or disable your restrictions. If you wish to enable them, the system will require you to enter your passcode.

After the restrictions are enabled, scroll down to “In-App Purchases”. Here, you can choose to completely disable every in-app purchase (turn the settings to OFF). Alternatively, you can manage the frequency of the password request using the “Require Password” button.

If you want to keep the ability to make in-app purchases, you can set the device to require your password every time you make a purchase (select “Immediately”) or every fifteen minutes.

We won’t be adding more builders – Boom Beach’s build times were designed and balanced with the intention of only upgrading or constructing one building at a time and changes  would upset the game’s delicate balance. The good side of this is that the build times are much faster than in some other games.

Right now we have no plans on adding clans or alliances. However, we are continuously improving the game and are of course open for suggestions. The good news is we are already working on the Android version! We don’t know exactly when it will be released, however, but it is coming!

As soon as we feel the Android version is ready to be rolled out, we’ll post about it on Boom’s Facebook page and Twitter account – so go and check them out!

If your game crashes or won’t load, please check the following “first-aid” trouble-shooting, which should improve the situation:

  1. Check that you have the latest version of iOS installed on your device. You can check it under settings > general > software and check if new software is available.
  2. Check that your device has enough free storage space: lack of space can result in crashes, slowness and other unexpected issues in any app. Please go to ‘Settings’ > ‘About’ and check ‘Capacity’ and ‘Available’. You can free up space by removing unnecessary apps, for instance.
  3. Free up device memory by closing apps that are running in the background. To do this, double tap the ‘Home’ (square) button to see all the apps running in the background, then swipe them upwards to close them.
  4. Turn your device off and then on again, and launch the game. The device memory should be free at this point and the game performance improved.

In case one of your upgrades in the game was not finished properly, you most likely lost connection somewhere along the way.

Based on the type of connection you are using, the lost connection warning can take a few minutes to show up in game. As a result, you may be able to start upgrades or other actions within the game, despite the connection to the server already being lost.
Losing connection to our servers can happen for a variety of reasons. These reasons include, but are not limited to: poor internet connection, server issues, ISP issues and/or  device performance.We recommend to check the article “My game won’t load” to help you avoid crashes related to connection issues on iOS devices.

Yes you can!

If your base was linked to Game Center, you can retrieve it by logging into your Game Center account.
If your base was not linked to Game Center, please send a help request to our Boom Beach Player Support.
Please include the following information in the message, so that we can locate your base:
  1. Your in-game name
  2. Your experience level
  3. Your Headquarters level

And if you have not already done so, connect the new base to a unique Game Center ID.  Don’t worry Commander, our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you need to reinstall Boom Beach for some reason, please make sure that you have connected your game to a unique Game Center account, in order not lose your progress in the game.
Here is how you reinstall:

  1. Exit the game by pressing your home button.
  2. Locate the Boom Beach application, tap & hold on it until it starts to wiggle.
  3. In the upper left corner of the Boom Beach icon, you should see a small icon with an X.
  4. Tap on the icon, and agree to delete the app.
  5. Restart your device.
  6. Open App Store and download Boom Beach again.

To listen to your own music while playing Boom Beach, please follow these steps:

  1. First make sure to turn off Boom Beach’s in-game music from the settings menu
  2. Then double-tap your Home button to see all open applications running in the background
  3. Locate Boom Beach and close the application
  4. Run your own music (important: Boom Beach MUST be closed in the background)
  5. Open Boom Beach again
  6. Enjoy the game while listening to your own music

Tap on a landing craft and tap the add troops button. Choose the type of troop you wish to train, or reinforce your depleted squad. Depending on the type of troop, it will take a while until they are ready for battle.
In order to make your troops stronger, you need to visit the Armory and upgrade their equipment.

Fire a Flare to direct your troops on the battlefield. All troops will move towards the Flare while it burns, or attack the building marked by it! The Flare is unlocked when you upgrade your Headquarters.

In order to move a building in your home base or resource base, tap on the building and you will see little green arrows on each side of the building. Tap and hold the selected building and you can drag it in any direction you want.

In Boom Beach you can only attack the islands you see on your map. There is no “search for opponent” function. You get new player opponents, referred to as Blackguard mercenaries in game, when exploring the map and as occasional invasions on your map. Your opponents are selected by a matchmaking process that attempts to give you the right level of challenge.

Freeing islands will give you Victory Points and the natives of each island you have freed will send you some gold to show their gratitude. Whenever you free an island, be aware that the evil forces will try to re-take the island and you might have to send in your troops again, in order to ensure that the natives can live in peace.

Once you have freed all the islands on your map, you can either wait for the Blackguard to strike back, or you can upgrade your radar and explore more area. But be aware that the more you explore and the more actively you attack other players, the higher your matchmaking value gets and the more difficult your opponents might become.

How does the game select my opponents?

How does the game select my opponents?

Your opponents are selected from players with a similar matchmaking value to your own. You can get new player opponents, referred to as Blackguard Mercenaries, in two ways:

1) finding a Mercenary base when exploring the map and 2) as occasional Mercenary invasions on your map. In both cases, player opponents are selected by a matchmaking process that attempts to give you the right level of challenge.

The rate of Mercenary invasions depends on how many of them you are able to beat: the less Mercenary bases you have on your map, the more invasions you get. Every time you get a new Mercenary base on your map, either through exploration or invasion, your matchmaking value increases. Using ‘Find new opponent’, your Headquarters level or Victory Points have no effect on your matchmaking value. Also note that computer-controlled Blackguard bases are completely independent from player-owned Mercenary bases, and have no impact on player matchmaking.

Your personal matchmaking value will gradually decrease over time if you have several new opponents, each with a high enough Experience level, on your map. Old opponents (when the Find new opponent option is available) do not contribute to the decrease. In addition, if your base is destroyed by an opponent with significantly higher Experience level than you, your matchmaking score will drop. The rate at which your matchmaking score can drop is limited, and also has an absolute low limit, defined by your current Experience level.

Please include the following information in the message, so that we can locate your base:
  • Your in-game name
  • Your experience level
  • Your Headquarters level

How do I connect to Game Center?

How do I connect to Game Center?

In order to save your progress in the game and transfer it to a new device, you need to connect it to a Game Center account. Please note that Game Center only supports one game per account, and that you will need a different Game Center account for each new game you play on other devices. Also note that each Game Center account requires a unique Apple ID.

In order to connect your game to Game Center, you need to go to your device settings > scroll down to Game Center and log in with your Apple ID.

Once you have created a Game Center account, open the Game Center App on your home screen and start Boom Beach directly from Game Center’s “Games” tab. When you see the banner “welcome back _yourname_” on top of the screen, you know you have connected your Boom Beach game to Game Center successfully.

Boom Beach supports only one account per device. In order to save your progress in the game you should connect it to Game Center. Please note, that playing your game without connecting it to Game Center may lead to permanent loss of game progress in case you e.g. need to switch device or factory reset your device.

How do I transfer my account to a new device?

How do I transfer my account to a new device?

You can play your account on multiple devices or transfer your account to a new device by using Game Center. We’ll show you how to do that in a couple of easy steps:

  1. First make sure that your game on your original device is connected to a unique Game Center account. To do so, go to your device settings > scroll down to Game Center > make sure that you are either logged in with your Apple ID or create a new account. Warning: do not share accounts with anyone – you always need to connect your account to your own Game Center account.
  2. Then go back to your home screen, open the Game Center App, choose “games” from the bottom line,  choose “Boom Beach” and then tap the three little dots in the right corner and choose “play”. When you see the “welcome back, _yourname_” banner at the top of the screen, you know you have connected your Boom Beach game to Game Center successfully.
  3. After you have done all this you can go to your new / other device. Launch Game Center and login with the same Game Center Account you used on your old device. When opening the game you should see a pop up that asks you if you wish to load the game from your old device. Confirm and you are ready to go!

  40. Hello, I hope you can help, I have just got a new iphone6s was trying to swap my base over to my new phone when I somehow deleted it when I was setting it up on the new phone.
    I need your help to get my game back because I cant start from the beginning again! My name I think was terry2778, level was 47 and my base was at level 17 from memory.
    I did try and set up a game centre account, but it only saved the new base from level 1 🙁

  104. I was playing on Samsung galaxy tab 3, android and just got an iPhone. I was level 22, name pearl harbors. When I loaded the app on iPhone, it had me at level 4. I can’t seem to get it to sync even though I am signed into game center and I even tried the facebook, it gives me a message to disconnect from other game to connect to the other one. What can I do to move the game to my iPhone or sync so I can play in both places.

    I recently got a new iPhone. I first backed up my old phone onto my computer then downloaded it to my new iPhone. When I turned on my new iPhone all my apps were fine except boom beach. Boom beach is the only app that I lost all my progress. My game name is General Maximus. My headquarters is 20 and my level is 50. Can you please help me to retrieve it back.     • If you still have your old phone this could work:
      Step 1: Go to Game Center on your OLD phone and open Boom Beach DIRECTLY from Game Center (You have got to have a Game Center user which is logged in on Game Center)
      Step 2: On your NEW phone, open Boom Beach, but NOT directly from Game Center, just your phone’s desktop (Make sure you have the same Game Center user on the NEW phone as you have on your OLD phone)
      Step 3: If you get a text ”Would you like to open General Maximus’s base?”, click LOAD.
      Step 4: Enjoy

    • If you still happen to have your old phone with your user on it do this:
      Step 1: Open the game on your old phone and your iPhone
      Step 2: On the old phone, in Boom Beach, open Settings>Link a device>This is the OLD device; then you will get a password.
      Step 3: On your iPhone, in Boom Beach, open Settings>Link a device>This is the NEW device; then simply write the password that you have on your old phone’s screen.
      Step 4: Enjoy.

    I lost my resource base after I forcefully upgraded the game just today. Аccidental i deleted my game because i can’t run it before the game update herself and deleted her and download her againt but my account isn’t ther yet.It want to have new.
